Psalm 16

If you were to ask me my favorite bible verse six times per year, I would probably give you a different verse each time.  My favorites are the ones that minister to me in whichever particular season I find myself in.  I turned to Psalm 16 and realized how much I LOVE verses five through eleven.  This is what it says:

5: Lord, you have assigned me my portions and my cup;

6: The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

7: I will praise the Lord, who counsels me: even at night my heart instructs me.

8: I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9: Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices: my body also will rest secure,

10: because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

11: You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Each verse is it’s own declaration and affirmation.  The first time I saw this chapter, I mean really saw it, and felt it, I just KNEW that God was telling me that he had intended blessings for me.  Each line, to me, is a promise and a plan from God.

Take just one of these verses, and make it your declaration/affirmation for the day!
