“People will forget what you said,

people will forget what you did,

but they will never forget how you made them feel.”

“Leslie helped the participants of the Black Women Rising Retreat building a strong foundation for personal wellness and self-care. Through her useful guidance and techniques many participants felt that they had what they needed to make meaningful changes in their lives. Leslie is a talented counseling professional that has made a true impact on our experience.” D. Jones, Chapel Hill, NC

“Our church was delighted to have Leslie present to our women’s retreat about mental/emotional self-care. I knew the benefits of individual counseling and therapy, but her presentation style was transformative for our women in attendance as well. Leslie was engaging, addressed all of our questions, and even followed up with those of us who wanted more specific resources after the session was over. We were truly grateful for her knowledge, attentiveness, and clarity for the subject matter. In fact, we later invited Leslie to return for a special video interview on seeking mental health during the pandemic, and she obliged. Church members still watch the video and share it with others.” Rev. T. Gibbs, Charlotte, NC

“Leslie was a guest speaker on my podcast and discussed generalized anxiety disorder. Her down-to-earth personality and wealth of knowledge made our conversation so enjoyable. Leslie provided helpful tips on managing anxiety and best supporting loved ones who deal with this disorder. Her interview ranks as the #1 episode for my podcast for number of listens and engagement! My audience loved Leslie’s approach to creating mantras and practicing self-care. I’m thankful for the golden nuggets Leslie shared on the podcast and greatly anticipate the positive changes my audience will make towards prioritizing their mental health.” Kristin Pridgen, Wholē Temple Podcast

“Identify U, led by counselor Leslie Stevens, was a welcome avenue during a period of crisis.  As most of us know, we faced two pandemics in 2020…COVID-19 and racial injustice.  As a Black woman, my community was being devastated by both of these epidemics.  I ran to the opportunity to participate in Identify U because it was a safe place for me to express my emotions, frustrations, fears, and garner support from a group of black women.  Ms. Stevens’ timing to launch Identify U was perfect.  I was sending out an SOS and Identify U came to my rescue.  Weekly, our group looked at core concepts, values, and approaches to address any issue.  Often time, I am told to be a Superwoman, always highlight my strength, don’t ask for help, and let others’ needs take priority.  Identify U with Ms. Stevens’ leadership led me to look internally and truly commit to seek Lisa first and build her up so she can help others.  Most importantly, Identify U was a life preserver when one doesn’t feel heard and isolated.  Thank you Identify U!” L.
